The most beautiful day

I must return to the blogging world to celebrate this most beautiful day. Yes, it was gorgeous with amazing spring colors and the most spectacular weather, however it is not these things that make this day B.E.A.U.T.I.F.U.L....

It was the spontaneity of time spent with people I enjoy tremendously. Starting with an excellent church service surrounded by 3 wonderful friends (Cass, Alison and Ally). Followed by a spontaneous lunch with a new, but dear friend Taryn. An amazingly honest, yet profound conversation over lunch lead into my afternoon date with my father where we dug and fussed and worked hard to build a great garden for a future vegetable harvest.

If you think that is enough, it just gets better. A planned run with my wonderful friend Cass turned into a long evening stroll with a stop by Miami Ice, our new found favorite summer ice cream destination. To top it off, as we made our way home on the evening stroll we passed Justin and Talula (her dog), stopped for a brief conversation and then continued on to complete the most precious day.

My heart was so full because it was blessed with a glimpse of the community that I long for. The community I believe we were created for. Friends and loved ones to share life with. Not planned in my "day runner", but simply surrounding me to brush arms with as we navigate this crazy world.

What a great day!

dude,
my day was very much great for the same reasons. after my yummy lunch with you, i went to coffee with beth mercer at latteland on the plaza. where i ran into john mcclain and jeff larison, and later john raux, which turned into a lovely dinner at the new jerusalem cafe in westport on the patio with the gorgeous weather and sunset. mmmmm.... not on the planner, yet full and peaceful. i love community. bless you.
