Starbucks and $15....a farewell to the pink water bottle

Who knew that a morning trip to my neighborhood Starbucks would produce $15...

As I was relaxing, enjoying my morning coffee a couple approached me to ask an unexpected question...

Couple: "can we interrupt you for just a second?"
Me: Sure
C: Are you attached to that water bottle?

I had my pink Starbucks water bottle sitting on the ledge next to me.

M: (confused look) Not really, why?
C: Could we buy it from you?
M: (even more confused look)
C: Well, we went on vacation last year and lost one exactly like it. It was my wife's favorite and she can't find one like it. They don't make that color anymore.
M: (confused look probably still lingering) I guess?
C: How much do you want for it?
M: I don't know, what do you want to pay for it?
C: I dont' know
M: I don't even know how much I paid for it.
C: $12.50, I used to work at Starbucks
M: Oh, I thought you looked familiar (bad indication of my regularity)
C: how 'bout $15
M: Sure

Girl pulls out $15 and hands it to me...Still probably looking a little confused I hand over the water bottle (still 2/3 full with my spit laden water). They thanked me profusely. The man put his arm around his wife as if they just heard the best news of the week. I didn't realize my $2.50 profit would bring them such joy.

I really think I got the best end of that deal! Farewell my pink water bottle. You served me well in your life, however served me even better in your heroic death.

Make her proud!

I love it when stuff like that happens!!! And the day you had at the beg. of April sounds awesome - those are the kind of days that make you just sit back and remember how wondeful life can be. :)
